Discover Your Resolve Yoga, Meditation and Equine Facilitated Learning Retreat

About the Discover Your Resolve Retreat with Jamie Wheeler at the Teton Outdoor Adventure with Sierra Scott

RESOLVE……Boldness, courage, firmness, intention, steadfastness. Developing these characteristics can truly be a life’s work, but we can collectively put an indent in the process together! You will soak in the beauty and energy of the Grand Teton National Park from the moment you wake until you retire to your pillow at night. The moments in between are intended to help guide your intention toward discovering your own resolve through yoga, Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL), guided and silent mediations, energy clearing, intentional nutrition, and explorative free time.

This retreat will ask you to dive internally and either begin to become aware or go even deeper into finding your resolve. With the frantic pace of society, it can be difficult to disconnect from the everyday tasks necessary to life and take time to learn new habits, create clear intentions, understand the path to carve in order for new intentions to manifest and truly “BE the change you want to see in the world”. You will have the opportunity to go home with new tools to implement into your daily life so you can BE present as you experience the world. Sierra and I are committed to holding space for each of you. It is NOT our intention to send you home with a checklist of what to do in order to ORDER you life. You will be given the opportunity to do that work for yourself as we create the space for it to hopefully begin to manifest.

Something that might be new to you…Equine Facilitated Learning. This learning allows horses to become the teachers enabling us to connect to our heart center, to be present in the now, to quiet our minds and overcome our fears. To find courage and strong leadership skills and to develop a sense of teamwork with both horse and human in a safe experiential environment. No prior horse experience necessary.

Jamie has been practicing yoga for over 17 years and teaching for 8 years. She found the healing aspects of yoga for neck pain following her 2nd marathon. Yoga has allowed her to feel the connection of body, mind, soul and tap into the present energy as we become aware. Her love of movement has given her a means to connect energetically to other humans, holding space to allow each person to connect with their body and movement far beyond what they thought possible. Yoga, for her, allows strength through length (flexibility)…a lesson she carries into so many areas of life. Jamie lives in Fort Collins, Colorado with her three kids.

Sierra has owned and operated children’s camps since 2012 and finds enormous satisfaction through watching campers grow with in themselves through being challenged in the great outdoors. She has degrees in psychology, sociology, architecture and an MBA. Sierra grew up on a large sheep, cattle and horse farm in Australia. She moved to Jackson in the early 1990s where she ski instructed at JHMR, a position she still holds now. All her life, Sierra showed, bred and trained horses in a multitude of disciples and has given horse instruction for over 20 years. To this day, Sierra still competes in both horse riding and skiing. Sierra is a professional artist and you can view her work at
